A Simple Meditation

Take a pause …

You may wish to sit, lie down, or stand. Perhaps you want to go outside and feel the air on your skin.

Wherever you are, I’m inviting you to take a few moments to simply breathe. Beginning by noticing the air coming in through your nostrils and back out through your nostrils. Seeing if it’s possible to bring your full attention to the breath. Nothing else, simply this… just noticing each in breath and each out breath and all the physical sensations that accompany breathing.

As best you can, letting go of the need or desire to do anything… simply arriving here with your breath, letting each moment unfold. Nothing to do…nowhere to arrive at….nothing to achieve. Just simply being.. right here.. right now.

If you find yourself becoming distracted - with external noises, or perhaps your own thoughts, see if you can bring yourself back to focusing on breathing. Even just for a minute … be here.

Then take in a deep breath and sigh as you breathe out …ahhhhhhh.
